How To configure the Fiber connection?

Steps to Establish a Fiber Connection

Configuring your device for a fiber connection involves several important steps. This guide provides a detailed walkthrough to ensure a successful setup.

  1. Initiate Power Supply: Begin by connecting the Docking Station to the mains power adapter to provide it with the necessary power.
  2. Activate the Data Recorder: Turn on the Data Recorder by pressing and holding the on/off button for a duration of 1 second.
  3. Prepare for Fiber Connection: Initially, the Data Recorder is not ready for a fiber connection. Place it onto the Docking Station to proceed.
  4. Establish Physical Connection: Connect the Fiber cable between the Data Recorder and Docking Station to establish a physical link.
  5. Configure Software Settings: Launch the NeXus software and initiate a new recording. Within the session configuration, select Optical/Fiber connection to ensure the software is correctly set up for fiber communication.
  6. Confirmation: Following these steps, your Data Recorder is now configured to utilize a fiber connection effectively.
  7. Post-Configuration: After configuring, you may remove the Data Recorder from the Docking Station if needed during signal checks or actual recording processes.
  8. Future Sessions: For subsequent recordings, there is no need to reconfigure the fiber connection unless the docked setup has been altered for other recording purposes.

By following these steps closely, you can ensure a stable and efficient fiber connection setup for your recording needs.
