Grant Access to your Computer

If you're experiencing issues that require assistance, Mind Media Support may request to remotely control your computer. This allows our support team to work on your problem directly. 

Windows Quick Assist

Quick Assist is a tool in Windows that allows you to provide or receive technical support remotely. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use Quick Assist:

How to start Quick Assist

  1. Open Quick Assist:
    • Press Windows + S to open the search bar.
    • Type "Quick Assist" and select it from the search results.
  2. Get Assistance:
    • Click on "Get assistance".
    • Enter the 6-digit code provided by the supporter and click "Submit".
  3. Grant Permissions:
    • A prompt will appear asking if you want to allow the supporter to take control or view your screen.
    • Click "Allow".

During the Session

  • Our support team can now see and control the your screen.
  • You can see the supporter’s actions on your screen and communicate with them.

Ending the Session

  • Either party can end the session by clicking on the "X" in the Quick Assist toolbar.

Additional

  • Ensure both computers are connected to the internet.
  • Use the annotation tools for better communication.
  • Be cautious about sharing your screen and only do so with trusted individuals.

By following these steps, you can effectively use Quick Assist to receive remote support.

It's important to note that you maintain complete control of your computer throughout the remote session. You have the authority to terminate the session at any time. All actions by Mind Media Support during the session are performed with your permission and at your discretion. Once the session concludes and Quick Assist is closed, Mind Media will no longer have access to your computer.
