How to send files larger than 10 MB?

To send files larger than 10 MB, follow the detailed steps below. This guide assists you in using WeTransfer to send such files effortlessly.

  1. Visit www.wetransfer.com. This website allows you to send large files up to 2 GB for free.
  2. On the WeTransfer homepage, choose the free version option. The service offers both free and paid versions, but the free version suffices for sending files up to 2 GB.
  3. You might need to accept WeTransfer's Terms of Service and Cookie Policy to proceed. Please read and accept these to use the service.
  4. Access the WeTransfer settings by clicking on the circle with three dots located at the bottom left corner of the screen. Here, you'll find various settings for your file transfer.
  5. Within the settings, select 'Send as link'. This option generates a link for your uploaded file(s) that you can share with others, including us. Make sure you do not select 'Send as email' since emails sent through WeTransfer will not reach our ticketing system.
  6. Click on 'Add your files' to upload the files you wish to send. You can select multiple files as long as the total size does not exceed 2 GB. Once selected, click 'Open' to add them to your transfer list.
  7. After adding your files, click on the 'Transfer' button. This action initiates the upload of your file(s) to WeTransfer's servers. Wait for the upload process to complete.
  8. Once the upload is complete, WeTransfer generates a download link for your file(s). Copy this link.
  9. Paste the copied link into our support ticketing system or in your reply to one of our messages regarding your case. This allows us to access and download the files you've sent.

Note: It's crucial to use the 'Send as link' option rather than 'Send as email'. Emails sent directly through WeTransfer's system do not integrate with our ticketing system, and thus, we will not receive the files.
