Getting Started with NeXus-10 MKII: A Quick Start Guide

Step 1: Install BioTrace+ Software

  3. Run setup.exe, follow the on-screen instructions, and complete the installation.

Step 2: Powering the NeXus-10 MKII

Before using the device, ensure it has sufficient power:

  • Insert a fully charged battery pack until you hear a ‘click,’ confirming proper placement.

Step 3: Connecting the Device

You can connect the NeXus-10 MKII to your computer using Bluetooth or USB.

Bluetooth Connection

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your computer (disable internal Bluetooth if using a dongle).
  2. Turn on NeXus-10 MKII by pressing the power button briefly.

Checking Signal Quality

  • Click Connecting to view sensor placement.
  • Click Signal Check to verify data quality before starting a session.

Recording a Session

  1. Use the Session Control Bar to start and stop recordings.
  2. Select a client profile or add a new client.
  3. Click Record, then Stop when finished.
  4. Save the session and add a description.

Step 6: Client Feedback & Threshold Settings

NeXus-10 MKII provides real-time feedback for training and biofeedback exercises.

  • Choose from various feedback types (e.g., video, animation, sound, puzzles).
  • Adjust threshold settings to control the feedback response.
  • Activate automatic threshold adjustments for dynamic training.

After a session, use Session Overview to analyze and edit data.

✔ Marking Artifact Areas – Exclude noisy or invalid data sections.
Computing Session Statistics – Generate reports on min/max/average values for each signal.

To save or print the analysis, select Print (Preview) and export it as a PDF.
